Unhappy O No!

I have a 4 month old boy budgie Petie he's hand feed. After the first month of having him he started to give me warnign pecks like i'm going to bite you but now hes gotten worse it's more less like a virous hurt bite. He lungs at me but I do nothing and just keep on going on with what I was doing. But now I say no in a easy but sturn voice. He's such a great bird gets on my hand comes out of the cage but ends up flying to it! And hes just getting more cranny every week. what should I do? O yea forgot one thing... When I first got him I had his cage up above us. But now I have it down becuase he thinks he's the ALFA!

Alica,

Your vbird has just been thru a terrible trauma, you have to expect a little back sliding.

I find that trimming the wings on a budgie will help to calm it down a little bit..

You also may want to remove the mirror from his cage.

sit by his cage quietly and talk to him, relax, relax, relax..that is what is most important. Keets tend to be high strung, and patience is key.

But what do I do when he bites me, I mean like I know hes just a budgie but when he bites in the right spot really hard it hurts lol, what do I do say no and put him back then cover his cage for 5 mins, or just pretend like nothing happend, what? I will be more patince he is only a baby.
