Bird First Aid Kit

you know, there are 100's of posts here about conditions that occur with ones FIDS that could easily be put into a manageable situation should people just have a First-Aid Kit for thier fids.

Many people are unsure what to put in one of these, so I went and found a website (extremely reputable) that actually sells a Birdy First-Aid Kit. Now this kit doesn't have "everything" you will ever need. But it does have some of the essentials:

First Aid Kit for Birds

It only cost 20.00 plus some minor shipping. I live in Montana and on average recieve my products within 3 business days when I order from DrFostersSmith.com. I've had an account with them for years. Before they even started offering Bird Supplies (OMG that means it's been over 6 years).

They have a great bird catalog you can request as well that has some great articles and is very all inclusive of most of what you would ever need for your fid. Some things are reasonably priced others you may want to "shop around" for. As is the circumstance with most web sites.

Anyhow, do yourself and your fid a favor. Be prepared and get yourself a first aid kit setup. hey this would be a good thread to start listing what actually a birdy first aid kit should consist of. List away everybody!

I have all the "basic" things - along with hand warmers (like the hunters use)

My ER kit isn't small, its implied with my over all large ER kit in case of evacuation. Where I have bottled waters, syringes, paper towels, sealed bag's of high quality seed mix's, crocks, perch's, toys, blankets ect. All in a large baby diaper bag. Ive actually had to use it 3 times since I set it up!
