Thanks to you all for all your feedback and suggestions re: my tiel and gcc.
Chico was my first tiel, and Rico is my first green cheek. I love that bird! Little Miss/Mister personality! I will have to get him/her dna tested because I can't stand not knowing what he/she is! I hope it's a guy bird though, because having two female birds with boy names is kind of odd. As if they know.

I bought a really nice cage today for Rico (gcc), with a few toys (getting more next payday), and I feel a sense of relief now. Chico is still being a snot, but when I put Rico in his/her cage which is side by side with Chico's cage (with a couple of inches of space between), Chico was clambering all over the place trying to figure out how to get out of her cage and in there with Rico. She's probably thinking "Hey! What gives!?! Why can't I get to those toys??" I told her when she and her buddy are finally being nice to each other, she can go visit (supervised of course).

Tomorrow night they each will get scrambled eggs and peas, since I've put them through so much this week!

On a positive note, it took only one feeding to get Rico converted to pellets!
I guess that's because he/she saw Chico eating and knew it was food.

So glad I got this taken care of before any damage was done.

Lol, i was told my tiel was a girl so it got given the girliest name! daisy...its a boy..he's lived with it for 17 years so far poor thing lol. also had a girl duck named napoleon and a girl galah charlie...we're good with names :).
