birds together

Hello to all: my ? is this, are there birds that shouldn't be together? I know size makes a difference, and some breeds are more aggresive, but I recently acquired a society finch, and have 2 zebras, can they be put together? barring any fights of course, can finchs be in with parakeets? can two different conures be together?nanday/jenday? at ist I thought they might fight but now the nanday spends all day on the jenday cage? how about a love bird and parrotlet?just wondering what species might do well together thanks

Lovebirds should never be kept with other species of birds because of their known aggressiveness.... quite similar with parrotlets... Of course if you look at google you are sure to see some exceptions.... it's not recommend though.

The finches I believe you can keep together.... as for them being with budgies??? Not recommended especially with how 'high strung' budgies are, and they can easily hurt a finch... always there are exceptions, but I don't recommend it.

As for conures being together??? That should be up to them... if you stick two birds together and expect them to get along, there is a chance they never will, or they learn to tolerate eachother (if not more). However, it's best to let them get to know eachother from a distance to prevent any problems....

I used to keep my bourkes and budgies together, however not anymore... not because of fights and whatnot, but because of an issue between keeping two male budgies (at the time) with bourkes who didn't have mates (bourkes being family related)... I didn't realise it was an issue until it was too late, and sadly I lost one of my bourkes.

On a similar note, I have my first tiel Casey, and my cherry head conure who live together... No, I don't recommend keeping tiels with large conures, however it was by their choice to be together (or well, Casey's at first! Took Noel a couple months to warm up to that idea, and now they sleep huddled together!). At the same time, they are not stuck together since they live cage-free (being the hypocrite I am, I dont recommend this either, but it works for me, especially with Noel's dissabilities!).
