I have a question with birds in general..plz help

Alright, what do birds do for fun!? My bird always seems bored, hes friendly and everything (and very energetic) but he doesn't do half the stuff lovebirds like to do, for instance:
1) He doesn't like to play with or shred up paper.
2) He doesn't seem to like exploring things. (I read somewhere that lovebirds like to explore pockets/sleeves or places they haven't been yet)
3) He doesn't like the radio much..

The only thing he does like is music, he'll sing like crazy, but yeah I can't just always play it for him..

So what else do birds have fun doing that I can try with this one? I feel bad to see him always looking bored.

Also he has tons of bird toys that he used to play with alot when we first got him them, but now he never touches them. :?

first things first;

A full (avian) vet check to rule out any illness.
While this quiet inactivity may not be anything serious,
it could be the very first signs of illness.

Not to be an alarmist or anything, but rarely is a healthy
bird uninterested in toys or not curious about his surroundings.

I was just thinking the same thing - maybe he is bored with the toys he has. I do this with Humphrey -once he stops playing with his toys after a week to 10 days, I put them away and give him different ones. Then I can give him the first batch again later, and he treats them as new.

What other games do people play wiht parrots? My mom plays 'ball' with Corbett - she rolls the stuffed soft ball and Corbett throws it back with his beak. We've talked abotu this before on this board -I'll try to remember other fun things for parrots to do.

He may also not like the toys you're giving him. Try different things. Does he not like any paper? Zen tends to like to chew things that are "crunchier" - toilet paper tubes and the covers of magazines. She doesn't like to chew on paper that doesn't make noise.

Like the others said...maybe it is just the toys you have. Tiki is not as playful as most parrotlets and I thought the same thing you did when I first had her. I took her to the vet soon after I brought her home and she was sick...so that was part of it. But she does not like most toys I bring home. She doesn't like colorful stuff with bells or anything like that. She has more fun with lots of stuff to climb and chew on that is preferably brown or tan. She won't even swing on a normal swing you can buy at the pet store. I just hung some rope up in the same shape and she LOVES that and will hop back and forth between them. Be creative and you will find something that interests your bird.

I think that birds often need to be taught how to play with new toys. With 10 birds here, they teach each other.
