help my love bird layed 6 eggs

Hi everyone
Its been a great experience learning from all these topics.
this is better than having to go to a vet. everytime you are in need of help.
Some of you have heard a bit about my Kiwi flying away some time ago. and also some of you have read that a neighbor capured him and never returned him to me, not even knowing he was mine. Well now a friend gave us a male and female love bird and i've had them for about 2 months and on november 20 we discoverd that my love birds had 6 eggs so I was told that love birds eggs hatch from 18 to 25 days. I'm so happy I may be having another lovebird to take kiwi's place to hand feed him and love and care for him as we did with kiwi that i'm starting to worry because the eggs are now 26 days and not one has hatched yet...how much longer should we wait before we give up on these eggs... thanks for your time as always. and happy holidays to all...

Hi there :)
Mabey the eggs aren't fertile or they are taking there time.
From what day did you start counting the day to find out when they are suposed to hatch because the mother bird usually only starts sitting on the eggs after the secont or third egg is layed.
Good luck with the eggs and I hope they still hatch. :)

Julywandy:

Try this link. It shows you how to make a very simple egg candler and explains what you're looking for. Good luck.
