Food Dunking, is it ok?
My African Grey, Franklin, likes to dunk his pellets into the water bowl before crunching away at them.. :eusa_naug I was wondering if it's ok for her to do this and should I switch to a water bottle instead?

There are plenty of birds who love to dunk their food in the water before eating it, no matter what it is! If you would like you can try switching over to a water bottle gradually to try to minimize the growth of bacteria.
Franklin looks like she is doing wonderful!!!

That is my biggest issue with pellets. None of mine will eat them unless they first make "soup", and once wet, they are just as quick to grow bacteria as their fresh counterparts. I have even soaked them first and offered them. Frankly, I don't use pellets and never recommend them. My birds will also soak cracker and unsalted pretzels if given the opportunity. I think they are all too dry for most birds tastes.
