Ok HELP!!

Oh God is Gracin going to be hurt??

Here is what happened.
Tonight I was eating chips and Guacamole ( i always give her a chip no Guacamole) This time she didn't want the chip she wanted to get in the bowl so I held it up high away from her. She ended up landing in the bowl with her face in the dip. She got a little bit of Guacamole in her mouth :icon_eek:
Will she be ok if she injested some? She didn't have much but I immediately gave er water and seeds to fill her stomach with something else.
Can you help?
I am so worried.

Katie

The most toxic part about avocado is the skin and pit. The meat is usually fine but it's too hard to tell others to keep clear of everything so it's just best to avoid it completely. Or better yet to quote something off of www.exoticpetvet.net

"Some types of avocados are toxic to birds. The skin, meat or pit may contain toxins, so it is best to not feed avocados at all. "

"There is some data that indicates that some varieties of avocado are toxic to birds, with perhaps the skin and pit being the most dangerous parts. Although unlikely to kill a bird, to be on the safe side, avocado should not be fed to birds."

She will most likely be fine though if you are worried take her to a vet anyway just to be sure and on the safe side.

I agree with Monica if you are still worried why not phone and ask the vet I am sure most would tell you over the phone if you need to get treatment or not ..
Thinking of you let us know how Gracin is going ....
