Exclamation HELP!!! (budgie)

I have a budgie right here who's in very bad condition. He has been puffed for 8 hours now, and at 2:00pm, when I checked him, he compared rather equally (estimatE) to my 38g baby. (I just took the latter to the vet today for a mite, he's been in quarenteen for about 8 weeks). The budgie I am talking about, Fish, has not eaten for 4 hours, and is unnaturally light of weight. I have enough avian experience that I know he is in dangerous condition. I have absolutely 0$ in my account, in fact, I owe my mother 40$ for the vet bill from this morning. I've tried feeding him a mush of oatmeal, an milk from a hand feeding syringe (he was hand fed from 2 weeks). He barely got 2 mililiters down after 30 minutes of effort. He will only sleep, no matter the position.

Please... please... what do I do? This bird is extremely important to me, it is all I can do to keep optimistic and not panic as of now.

Send a message via Yahoo to Beaks
it could be anything

where are you located if you are close to weatherford Texas give me a call and i may be able to come check him out for you and medicate if necessary.

He needs fluids for sure if you have a syringe just inject about 1/2cc of distilled or purified water under the skin of the breast to help rehydrate him that should help him regain some strength.

Then try feeding some handfeeding formula if you have it or anything else that he will take.

John

I'm in Bedford NH (near Manchester/Nashua). I don't have a medical syringe, just a thick hand feeding ones (and a couple thinenr ones, but none for injecting). He drank come water from a thin faucet shower, and I recently sucedded in getting 2 whole mL inside of him. I would call my vet, but the avian vet isn't in tonight. She left at noon.
