Can I get my bird sick?

I woke up yesterday with a nasty cold. This morning I woke up and thought I had strep throat. Just talked to my sister and she said if I had it I would know. So, guess maybe I don't have it.
I was a little nervous about feeding Rico. Washed my hands very thorougly but just curious. Can I get him sick with a cold?

Nope. Your bird is perfectly fine. There are a few zootonic diseases (pssitacosis and tuberculosis being among them) that can be transmitted, but for the most part there isnt a problem.
