Is their cage inside or outside?......Especially if outside, check for mites also, even though chances are somewhat slim that is the reason for the picking.........Was the baby in the box with Momma & the new eggs or outside of the box? I'm also curious as to why didn't the other eggs "make it"? Not fertile? Did ya break them open before discarding?......Are ya fully prepared to handfeed in case the parents stop feeding altogether or continue to hurt the baby? If not, please immediately make a contact for someone experienced to help you out if necessary....If the baby was inside the box still, with the new eggs, I would try leaving in the original cage first but take him out of the nestbox. If papa still picks on him then I may try putting the baby in the other cage with papa to see if he will feed there but really best IMO to just start the handfeeding process if ya know how or you could also sell to a bird pet shop and let them take over. You can then properly prepare yourself for the next round if ya want to be a breeder...... ....Btw, welcome to the board Sue. :icon_smil

We took the male out last night and put him in another cage. He was really upset. This morning my husband was holding the baby and both birds feed the baby in his hand. Buddy helps out alot with the baby. Another problem is Nicky laid another 2 eggs before we could get the nesting box out so, she has double duty now. Should we keep the male away or WHAT ELSE SHOULD WE DO!!!!!!!!!
