Question cross bred teil????????????

Hi in the last post someone spoke of a cross bred teil this has got me fascinated and I would love to know what you could possibly mate a teil with to get a crossbred thanks Michelle

There are no cross bred tiels, just different mutations.

There is no cross bred cockatiels there are only mutations like cinamon pearl,cinamon white face and etc.

I'm not sure which thread you are referring to though cockatiels are not closely related enough to any other bird to hybridize. So as the others have mentioned, only mutations occur. I myself have a cinnamon pearl pied tiel, and a whiteface split pied tiel.

Yes I'm caging them together. And iv'e seen many crossbreeds that are healthy and lived long. They had a cross breed of a blue and gold macaw and a red and gold, cross breads in fiches, and parakeets, canaries,conure,covkateil,cockatoos. I have a 3 crossbred cockateils and they are in good health and a crossbred finch, and parakeets.


I got this off the thread New bird owner need response by Friday and was started by Birdmaniac1990. What i wana know is if your cockatiels are crossbred what are they crossbred with.

I think maybe with a king parrot ?????????????? there really pretty you wanna buy one lol they look like teils only the size of a king very unusual

Cockatiels are a whole species unto themselves and are not closely related enough to any other species to be able to breed with them. There are some larger teils but they have just been bred with the largest tiels available, not mixing with another species.
