Unhappy feather picking timneh

I have a 4 year old female timmy who picks her chest and shoulders every breeding season. She feathers out the rest of the year. I've tried everything
execpt "luprin". I heard there has been some sucess with this drug. I need help, in rural Il.

Far be it for me to consider myself as anything but an amatuer, but I think that you have nothing really to worry about there with your Timneh. If this is something she has been doing only during the breeding season, then that would be hormonal and not a whole lot you can do about it. If she is feathered out the rest of the year then there does not seem to be anything wrong with her. How long does it last and how much actual damage is she doing? How fast till everything regrows and can you tell that there was a problem when she is refeathered?
Her appetite is still good during this time? What other changes do you notice when she is doing this or is that the only thing?
Is she more nippy or cuddly during this time?
Jmho on all of this and would be interested to see what others have to say as well. There is no such thing as too much knowledge and we never stop learning.

The problem is she gets worse each year. Last year she got down to the skin
and brought blood once. She4's the smartest bird in the flock, she has a huge vocab. and knows more tricks than you can think of. I do bird shows for schools , nursing homes and churches. She's the star but i hate for her to look so bad.
