Aloe Vera Plant

Would it be allright if my birds ate some of my aloe vera plant>? Today when I let my Pike out he started chewing on the plant I was not sure if I would hurt him so I took the plant out of the room. Is it all right if he eats it?

The only thing that might happen is that he gets the squirts for a while but it will not harm him. But it would still be wise to keep it away form the bird.
Aloe is actually used to help fix all kinds of problems and is a very beneficial plant.
