Bird Leashes???

Are bird leashes a good idea (for greys) and if so, how do you begin to teach your bird to let you put one on and be happy about it :? - Thanks -K

What type of leash??? Do you mean like a harness (that the harness part goes around the body and a leash hooks to the front or back), or do you mean a flight suit (keeps your greys mess off of you and hooks in the back).

It's best to put what you have near your grey's cage for a week or two to let him/her get use to it, then see if you can put it on your grey. He/she may refuse it quite a bit at first, however, it'll take some time for them to get use to something around their body... It would possibly be like a dog wearing a shirt, they might have to get use to the feeling around their body before they can completely accept it.
