Clipped Wings Question

Just curious, but how long does it generally take for birds to regain flight after their wings have been clipped?

Usually 3-6 months... though it can take longer or shorter depending on the time when the wings have been clipped and when those feathers molt out.

Wings

Remember, even a gentle breeze can provide enough lift to cause your friend to fly away. Some birds are stronger flyers than others. Wing clipping may slow him/her down but not stop him/her.

This is especially true of cockatiels. They are amazing fliers and can get airborn with EVERY flight clipped.

Sorry, haven't had a computer for a while. And thanks! My sweet, little devil still can't fly or even flutter after five months. Not that I would want her to. I am the only one she'll come to if she get off her cage and can't get back up. Now my sister's younger lovebird (out of two), that little sucker can fly now.
