Clipping toe nails of older bird
Hi,
One of my older budgies (i.e., is 14 or 15) has extra long toe-nails this summer. He is not tame, and is housed in a big flight cage. Should I take him and have his toe-nails clipped? He is a very lean budgie, flies and exercises all the time. He is timid. Any advice? Thanks! I would suggest that you get his nails clipped and letting them grow out too long can cause serious problems...

nails
Hi,
Thanks, I took Joe's (older budgie's) girlfriend to the vet for a nail clipping and the avian vet did a good job. I will take Joe for a nail-clipping this week. His nails are not excessively long, but a little longer than usual! ramona |
