Confused Finches?

Ok you know how the female finch will put her tail in the air and shake it when shes ready to mate? Well today my male was doing it. Is this normal?

Well it may not be "normal" but these days it seems to be acceptable by some. You sure that little finch didn't come from San Francisco or Massachussetts? :)
