Well I had a rehomed cockatiel but I am not sure if she was handfed or not as a baby
Anyways she was in a cage with a male when she lived with her previous owner and was completely untame when I got her,
lunging, hissing, biting, etc.
The male died of old age shortly after I got them, so she was in a cage by herself,
and about 6 months later I had gotten to where i could scratch her neck, touch her back, get her to step up, with no bites.
But I worked with her everyday, I knew her boundaries and respected them, I didn't push myself on her, I think it's all about trust and commitment,
Hope this helps, sorry I don't know if she was handfed though!
