Unhappy Malabar Parrots bizzarre behaviour

Hi, I have 6 parrots all up that live together and get along most of the time. They've established their 'pecking order' pretty much and sadly my two malabars seem to be on the bottom. They'd probably be fine but for some reason seem to go out of their way to follow round one of the bigger ones until they attack them and then just won't stay away from them. I've put them in a seperate cage but they hate it and just want to get back with the others. It hurts me to see them getting bullied but it seems to be their fault. They have even started looking scruffy as their feathers get pulled out and broken from their run-ins. I'll probably end up putting them in a seperate cage in another room eventually as I want to breed them but does anyone know why they have this masochistic behaviour?

some birds just dont get along. If they're getting into fights with other birds they should be separated right away for their safety! why risk it? You did the right thing separating them, i wouldn't put them back in if i were you.

They just don’t get along like us humans; some just don’t seem to get along or like some people. I would not wait another minute to separate them if they are fighting that badly. Please separate ASAP or one of them will wind up really hurt. Im glad you are thinking of separating them. My conure and IRN have never been out for playtimes together and never will. I just will not chance it.
