Maybe the bird store that I got Rayne and Rico from is different.. but I'd in no way think that them returning there would be worse than trying to weed out the good from bad on CL or other places like that. Rico was bought and brought back. I got really lucky with this... he's the sweetest Sun ever! Rayne and Rico were taught to 'step up' while they were there, and they worked on Rayne's biting issue. Other than some bad info on diet and cage sizes, they did a good job with working with them. They weren't afraid, had toys, food, clean water, bathing water, etc. Also, because they DO overcharge, it keeps some people from getting them that don't have a real interest. JMHO...

Well if you can’t give it the proper care or home I would return him or even better, sell him to someone who can give him the proper care. However, if you work with Paco you CAN tame him. It takes a lot of work and patience but I think it’s worth it. Both Chiquita and Boomer were massive biters, especially Boomer but with research and reading I got them to stop biting. Boomer broke the skin and it hurt really bad but all I did was blow on him gently and he stopped right away. It worked like a charm. It took only three days of this for it to work. This will be a tough decision and if you don’t think you want to provide the time with taming him I would return/sell him. You CANNOT leave a bird in the cage like Jag said that is unfair. Think very carefully about this because one you keep it, you keep it. It will be extremely hard on the bird if it is rehomed after spending time with you. It’s best to do this right away before he gets settled.
