About My Sisters Parakeet

Hi, my sister has a parakeet, she's had it for quite a few years. Recently, they have noticed that it's usual pretty "tweet" has become labored and sounds almost like a duck. Would anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks.

It's possible for your sisters budgie to be ill if he is not acting well (may need to go see an avian vet), or if the budgie may try to be immitating a noise.

I'd say that you should most likely make sure that his health and everything is fine, and get him checked out by an avian vet to rule out any illnesses (maybe something having to do with his lungs). If he is completely healthy, then the next best guess of mine is that he may be trying to imitate a sound.
