pinecone treats

you will need:

one pinecone
(make sure it has not been sprayed or treated with anything!)
peanut butter
seed mix
chopped fruit, veggies

Wash the pine-cone with soap, rinse well and lay out in a dry place or warm oven (250 degrees). Mix peanut butter, seed mix, and chopped fruit/veggies together and put the mixture inside the pine-cone.

Hi, that sounds like a great idea...But what size pinecone should i use? you dont want one so big that there isn't enough room for them to spread their wings.
Do you think a pinecone about the size of someone's fist if you have a cage that is about one foot deep one foot wide and one foot tall?[/code]

hmmm...do you have two birds in that cage? Seems like you need something larger.
I've done this just once and used a small pinecone. Anything too big is intimidating to Tiki.

Where do you get pinecones if live in the city? Because all the toys I have gotten my CAG with them she has loved so I know she would probably love this treat.

Pine Cones are dirty and may contain bacteria that will kill your loved one. I would be very careful and make sure that you clean the cone good
