I don't give Scarlett any bad foods!

Her idea of craziness is a reduced-fat triscuit that she gets 3 minutes with!

She also spend a few quality minutes with other family members and their pasta noodles.

but, beyond that, she NEVER gets fries, pizza, chinese, anything!!!!

I'm always afraid of hurting my pretty chatty redhead. She eats a far better diet than I do day-in/day-out--she gets fruits, veggies, rice, beans, dandelion greens/kale/collard greens, etc.

I'm not comfortable enough with my gorgeous girl to feed her crazy foods.

that is CLEARLY my insecurity as a new owner but I still get all nervous about her--even now that the weather is getting cold!

You didn't ask what I usually feed them, you asked to rank their top 5. I feed an extraordinary diet, but like humans, they also like the occasional treat. Once I've met their dietary needs, then I let them have a small treat. Even wild birds will snack on extra fruits if given the chance. I don't, however, BASE their diet on junk.

LMAO, so that is where Chaska has gotten the idea she is entitled to help herself to my breakfast!

of course not. I re-read my post and it did sound like that was what I was trying to imply. I apologize if it seemed I was saying you fed your birds a horrible diet.

I am still learning about birds in general and Miss Scarlett. I guess I'm just so afraid I'm going to "hurt" her by giving her some wrong food with too much fat, salt, etc. Yet I have no qualms about feeding my cat raw foods, junk foods, etc. go figure.
