Need simple recipie to try feeding a bird who won't eat his veggies!

The only way i was ever to get my finiky budgies to eat their veggies was through this recipie called the Budgie mix from www.birdmart.com:
Budgie Mix
This is a healthy mix of veggies that budgies will readily eat after the introduction period. It is my adaptation of an avian vet's diet that was recomended to me many years ago. This is a low moisture recipe that does not quickly spoil.

3 cups cooked brown rice (1 cup dry + 2 cups water according to directions)
1 lb frozen corn nibblets
1 lb frozen small peas
(optional) 1 lb small bird pellets.

Recommend chilling rice before mixing with veggies to keep kernels separated. Keep veggies frozen. Store in ziploc bags. This makes enough to feed one budgie for several months.
Thaw before serving. Add finely diced carrots and broccoli florets. If your birds haven't eaten peas before, squash a few the first few times - then they get the idea

Ugh! This is so fustrating! Thanks for the posts and help. I made some birdie bread for Billy (Budgie), but he wouldn't touch it. I hope if I keep doing this, he'll try it!

I like the 15 dry bean soup mixture with veggies, pasta and wild rice the best for our birds. We do double recipies and freeze in baggies. Usually lasts 3 weeks for 5 birds (B&G macaw, 2-U2's, G2, and CAG)

Soak and cook the 15 different dry bean mixture you find at your local grocery store. Discard the flavoring packet.

cook seperately a bag of wild rice.

cook seperately mixed veggies. Can be any kind you like. i.e. corn, peas and green bean mixture since we already have dry beans cooked. We make variations and change it here and there.

cook any kind of pasta

add all the cooked pots of food together in one very big pot and mix well. Bag as much as you would feed for a day and freeze. Thaw a bag each day and watch them go to town!

All seed eaters have been converted easily with this diet. Sprinkly some pellets in there also. They love it!
