aussie birdie bread

hi guys

it seems every recipe i find for birdie bread is based on corn bread mix...its not something commonly found in aussie supermarkets.

i found things like pumpkin scones (biscuits) but it had a fair amount of sodium in it... how much can birdies handle?

im about to go mix up some birdie carrot cake but i know astro is rather fond of bread.. she'll walk all over my place and peck at the crumbs and clean the plate

any ideas?

Hi Tigey,
You can get cornmeal here in Oz. It's more commonly referred to as "maize meal" and you can get it at the health food shops, like the ones you find outside of Coles in the shopping centres.

oh btw, don't get it confused with 'corn flour' that you find in coles and woolies.
