Easy morning meals

What do you do in the morning before work to feed your fids? I am looking for easy recipes that I can microwave or take right out of the fridge and give to my birds. I am always in a rush in the morning and I worry I am not giving them enough nutrition in the morning (although they eat hardy at night). Does anyone have some easy, nutritious morning meals they can provide?

I am in charge of Aree in the morning. Her breakfast, normally, consits of lots of fresh veggies. I cut up cucumber, raw zuchinni, squash, her favorite hot peppers, peas etc.

Basically whatever we have in the fridge.

If i'm really in a rush, I heat up some frozen Birdie Breakfast, curtosy of my loving step mom. Its really great for those days when your alarm clock doesn't go off.

Birdie Breakfast, summed up, is pasta and beans. I'll have to ask my step mom what she puts in it, but Aree LOVES it. I can only give it to her once a week, due to the fact that Brown Heads have very sensitive kidneys, and too much protein can seriously damage them.

Some day i'll put the recipe up on here. Or maybe i'll make it myself, sell it, and become a millionaire.

I cook all of Scarlett's food on the weekend and then have everything ready for the week's meals. I make the typical soft food mix: beans, rice, corn, barley, and some veggies. I also chop up fruits, vegs, and fresh greens like collard greens or kale. I hardboil a couple of eggs and also make some fresh sprouts. I do it all when I have a day off and the time--and then everything is ready for all of the meals of the week!

I had the same time constraint problem in the morning feeding my one quaker. My New Year's resolution was to actually get to work on time. I'm ok with other engagements but getting to work seemed to be a struggle. So far so good, though, I've been keeping the resolution and one way I was able to cut corners is that I have a second set of food dishes. I was one set at night and chop and fill the cup. I place it in the refridgerator. In the morning, I just have to switch out the cups. Dirty cups come out, clean cups go in. All chopping done the night before saves me time in the morning.

Looking forward to see other people's ideas.

On the weekends, I buy a 16 bean soup mix, cook up the beans, some brown rice and corn, throw it all together with a bit of chicken broth and basil for flavor, freeze. I can unthaw it quickly and serve when I am in a rush. I also make up 3 different kinds of bird bread, throw those in the freezer and pop those in the microwave for a quick breakfast.

I usually just go to PetsMart every other week to pick up a bucket of Beak Appetit then I cook it up in the cool container and throw it in the fridge then it's easy to whip it outta the fridge to feed it to Congo in the mornings before school. Then I always leave a chunk of brocolli in his cage too. Then when I get home from school he gets whatever fruit/veggies we have in the fridge.

HEE HEE I just wrote 'then' 4 times..OOOPPS LOL

I grab a handful of frozen veggies, hold it under the water to thaw them and give them just enough for them to eat within an hour or so. It is summer here and any longer and they will spoil. They get more in the evening. I leave a dish of pellets there all day and a seed hopper.
