My son used to call broccoli florets "christmas trees"....that stuck, and we've been calling them trees for years now. My fids even know what christmas trees are. That should get really confusing around Christmas time this year....

My son called them Monkey brains - and other foods equally disgusting things - I tolerated it so long as he ate them. But it sure didn't add to my enjoyment of the meal .
