do yours eat seasonally?

I have noticed that the redhead has ignored most of her fresh food mix other that corn lately. She has been very into the dry mix and has been ignoring all fresh foods other than papaya and hardboiled egg. I actually had to remove the dry mix from her cage so she'd check out the fruits/veggies in her other bowl.

Do your birds have different preferences for different times of year?

Jack seems to enjoy everything...We haven't had him throughout many seasons, so I can't really say if he is a seasonal eater...However, he loves all of the fresh fruits that are available only in the Summer (We live right down the road from a Farmers Market!)

I think if given enough choices, they certainly do. Just like us, they have flavor favorites and they can only get them at certain times of the year. You couldn't pay me to buy a peach right now, but come the end of summer, I'd eat peaches all day long. Same with watermelon. They only really taste good for a short time.

Aree is just like Scarlett. This winter, she was crazy over her veggies. Now she's taken to dunking her vegetables in her water to make soup , but she ADORES her pellets (although she always has.)

She still has her favorites though, like pomagranate, strawberries and birdie bread. She still eats most of her veggies, but no where near as much as she used to.
