Spirulina

I was going to attempt "Bobbi's Birdie Bread", and I've discovered that I don't have Spirulina (I don't have wheat grass stuff either). Can I just omit this? It doesn't help the bread rise, or something like that, right? It's just an additive? Thanks so much! I'm anxious to start cookin'!

Hmmm...is it the same spirulina used as fish food? If so, it's just a nutritious algae.

Spirulina is there for the additional vitamins, it doesn't harm the cooking process at all.

I guess it is some sort of algae.... I just went ahead and bought it today. It would be my luck that I wouldn't add it, and then the bread wouldn't be liked, lol.
