oats dock and barley

hey guys just wondering if rolled oats and barley are good for a parrot?i have horses at home and we crush our own oats so the quality is as high as ud get in the store so theres a good bit available for them.also some one told me as long as theres no chemicals dock is a good food too. any ideas?

I don't know what dock is.

I feed my girl oats and barley about 1/3 of the time, maybe less. She loves them.

its a wild weed basically we always used it as kids if we got a nettle sting. the juice from it is ment to soothe the pain

Dock Leaves

Hi,

I used to give dock leaves to my old budgie all the time. He really liked them. As long as they haven't been sprayed with chemicals I guess they are fine, they never caused him any harm anyway..

That said, I have no idea whether they are recommended or not. I'm just going on what I have done before.

Barley is a great thing to give to birds. The same goes for oats. :) My tiel used to fish out the pieces of barley when i made homemadevegetable soup. :)
