bread was a hit

as I have been looking for a winter replacement (sort of) for the mash I wanted to find a heavy bread recipe that the birds will eat more of then just a healthy snack. I finally have success!!! This one worked great!

More heavy bird bread

1 bag Bob's Red Mill whole wheat bread mix w/o the
yeast
2 cups corn meal
1 tbl baking powder
4oz Herb Salad (Twin Beaks Aviary)
4 eggs
1 29oz can pumpkin
1 24oz jar apple sauce
1 tbl Cinnamon
1 14oz package seasoned corn and black beans
1/2lb frozen corn
1/2lb frozen peas
1/2lb frozen shredded mustard greens
2 cups Volkman's Parrot seed mix
1 1/2 cups oat meal

mix it all together in a large bowl
it will make enough to fill a 9 x 13 and 8 x 8 pans
heat oven to 350 degrees. Bake both together for one hour 15 minutes.
it came out perfect for me!!!
It freezes real good.

Of course it had to pass the bird test. Here are the results of that test.

Benji, my most finicky eater, dives right in!!

now this one is easy. If it looks like food he will eat it. His Latin name is Cricketus Foodus Disposalus Maximus.

Now Zoey is a finicky eater as well. She has her own way of eating. She likes to toss the food out of the bowl to the bottom of the cage and go eat it there. I do believe the bread passed muster.

and what does the red head think of this stuff? Well miss Sophie really liked it too!!!
