I give them to Paulie with his breakfast....a few sprinkled on his birdy bread. He loves them too. I heard it is the "perfect food". Good for birdy Moms too!

Hi - You can get the granules at any health food / vitamin shop. They smell great, never tried them myself.

Avian Trio, which should be sold in most bird stores, is Bee Pollen, Royal Jelly, & Propolis. This I found to be the most important part of my fids diet. It helps boost their immune system, keep healthy weight and appetite. The thing you will see first though, is how colorful your bird will become. Its easy to use and they get use to it fast. My fids have feathers like velvet, and Im sure it because of this stuff!

Bee Pollen

Hi Everyone. I have some information about Bee Pollen which I want to share with you guys.
Bee Pollen
Bee Pollen is the dust-size male seed found on the stamen of any flower blossom. The pollen collects on the legs of honeybees as they move from flower to flower. The bees secrete a number of enzymes into the pollen. It is the main source of food for most honey bees and their larvae. Bee bread consists of honey and pollens which are gathered by the worker bees. A recent study of bee bread showed it contain 188 kinds of fungi and 29 kinds of bacteria. Bee bread is sometimes referred to as ambrosia. It is fed to all larvae except those that are destined to become queens; the queen larvae are fed royal jelly instead. Bee pollen is not found in the everyday diet. It is used in nutritional supplements and Traditional Herbal Products.
I hope this information will be useful for you guys.

Coincidentally I was thinking about Bee Pollen today and if to incorporate it into my bird's diet.

They sell it at Whole Foods so I guess I can pick it up next time I grocery shop! I hope my birds like it!
