Mazuri Parrot Maintenance

Has anyone fed Mazuri Parrot Maintenance (www.mazuri.com) ? I have recently been introduced to their products. Their prices are very attractive (25lbs for $25.00-$32.03 depending on where you purchase it from). They manufacture a variety of exotic animal feed. Anyone know of any down falls to feeding this pelleted diet along with other foods? Any likes or dislike?

Mazuri is the only pellet that none of our parrots will touch. They'll eat harrison's, zupreem, roudybush, even pretty bird but no one will eat Mazuri!

They are all chowing down on it here. The sun conures are going crazy over the stuff. Two of them finish off two feeding cups a day. Everybody pretty much eats anything I put in front of them. Every now and again, they will drop something...but overall, they eat most anything that I offer...especially if I take a bite first...lol

I'm a huge fan of Mazuri pellets for Toucans because they have the lowest Iron levels out there but I can't say that I know enough about their parrot food. But dont go buy the cost...A "bargain" isnt always a bargain it could be just a cheap bunch of junk lol . But since your Fids are so head over heels for it I'm Def gonna look into it and give it a try

Nancy's (The Outlaw) vet recommened Mazuri pellets for a feather plucker... If they are good enough for a vet to recommend, then I think they are worth checking into! Especially saying that Mazuri creates a lot of the foods that keeps zoo animals healthy! On top of this, if you or your birds don't LIKE the pellets, then Mazuri will refund your money. However, the catch is, if you buy from a store, all your money will be refunded... If you buy off the internet, they can only refund you the cost of the bag, not the shipping and handling charges... To me, that sounds like a good enough deal to at least get a 'trial bag'!

Might want to check out the other thread on this, too!

You can go to their website and find the local Mazuri distributors for your area. We are located in Butte, Montana and there is not much around here in regards to large bird foods and large parrot supplies. However, we were able to find three Mazuri distributors in neighboring towns. I also liked the fact that macaws the whole way down to conures were all able to eat the same pellet size. Which means, I don't have to buy different sized pellets for the smaller birds. I guess the trick would be getting your birds to eat it...then I think it's worth changing...especially if you have a large flock to feed.
