Red face Kitchen Sink

Hello all!
So I've been gathering as much info for my future Timneh as I can. Including recipes. I've seen a lot of people on here talking about the "kitchen sink". I've been searching for it but can't find the actual recipe. Can anyone help me out? Also any other good recipes birds love would be great!

Kris

Wow

wow! That's A LOT of food! I'm only feeding one Timneh. That'll feed him forever! How long does it stay good if kept in the fridge?

It will keep in the freezer for at least 6 months.

When I make it I freeze several small containers that will each feed Quito and Tausi for two or three days.

well, there's another sucess story over here.

I highly reccomend the kitchen sink recipe. All my fids love it (even Freddie, the extremley picky eater.) Actually, when it was in the process of being made, I snuck a few bites. Would have been great without the hot peppers!

It always makes me feel warm and fuzzy to hear the success this recipe has!! I LOVE this recipe, and love to play with the ingredients!

Kris, you can make this with a single bag of bean mix- just use only 1/2 the bag. I still recommend the whole frozen box of chopped greens..I find the boxes work better than bags.

If you add brown rice, add about 1/2 cup to the water as the beans are boiling. I would also add the whole bag of frozen mixed veggies..my store carries corn, carrots ( diced into cubes..MUCH BETTER!)green beans and peas in a 1 and 1/2 lb package. Now that Cranberries are in season, toss in a couple of handfuls and see if your baby likes them!

I just made a batch this past week, and my grocery store had shelled walnuts on sale- I added about 2 cups, which I broke up into smaller pieces. I've also used slivered almonds in the past as well.

Another success story here. When I made it, I only had two budgies. I put a couple of days worth in baggies, and froze them. I'm good for months now, it is a lot of food, but now I don't have to make any more for a long time.
