Im just wondering if feeding lissa's kitchen sink recipe well my version of it is ok everyday? because my Fids love it and its so easy to make so i hope its ok, i have the beans plus rice alittle pasta carrots peas beans beak appt. and hot peppers,

Sure is. Just make sure to rotate the veggies. Some days, feed some kale, mustard greens, collards or Swiss Chard too. They are great sources of calcium. I feed Kitchen sink every single day for one meal. I am flexible about the morning meal and lunchtime snack.

hmmmm ok thx outlaw i usually put in other veggies on top of the kitchen sink when i give it to them im making a big batch as we speak, somewhere else i read said that not to use too much water because the vitamins ect, get boiled out so its almost as if you want it to evaporate what do you think?

oh and where can you find the green mustard kale and swiss chards? does it come frozen? what about frozen spinich? hope you can help with all my questions lol thanks

The turnip greens, collards, spinach and mustard greens all can be purchased chopped and frozen or fresh in the produce department.

I usually cook my rice in the water left over from cooking the dark greens. That way, they absorb the minerals left behind. I also throw in some chicken wings when I'm cooking the greens. My birds love them.

hmmm that sounds so good i might eat it... lol mine love chicken too it kinda wierds me out tho its almost like cannibalism lol

haha cannibalism. I was thinking the exact same thing when I read that birds love to eat chicken! It strikes me as weird too! :)

I just finally tried my guys on fresh Kale that I bought Friday, fresh from the produce dept. It was on sale 2lbs for .99, so I grabbed a bundle. It was only .22 cents! I nuked it for 45 seconds and sprinkled red ppeer flakes on it and fresh grown oregano. All 4 fids tore it up, especially the Ekkie. Today I gave them the leftovers mixed with a scrambled egg with the shell and a little red plam oil. Again, mostly gone!

wow that sounds like a good recipe! i might have to try that i know its so good for them
