Juicing is for the birds....

Ok call me a little slow. Bought this Juicer off TV many years ago and never used it much...Good way to waste money huh???

Anyways, got it out the other day and started making juice for the birds, orange, apple...ect....

They love it....wow, I'm so mad at myself for waiting so long to give them fresh juice...

I have one of those juice makers too, never used it. Maybe I'll have to dig it outta storage. Thanks for the idea. Crystal

Juicing can be a great tonic - I've had one for years. It seems to get used a lot & then over time I forget, until I realise it hasn't been used for months.

One of my favourite combinations is:
5 - 8 large carrots (scrubbed or peeled),
3 - 5 celery stocks,
1/2 -1 english cucumber (or field cucumber)
1/8th of a beet,
+ a ball of parsley or sprouts
- be careful with these ingredients as they're potent.
~ all ingredients organic if possible.

The carrots are sweet so it doesn't really need more, as in fruit sugars. Sometimes I'll add an apple. The less sugars you add the better it is for you. This is great in the winter - it is really good for your skin. This amount serves 3 - 4 people & who knows how many fids.

Like you I haven't been using mine - the last time I made juice, a month a go, Laker refused to try it but I have high hopes down the road.
