Chicken or Meat for a Senegal ?

Hi Everyone

I am new to this BB so if I have posted this in the wrong place, my apologies.
The breeder I bought my baby from said she feeds them chicken and chicken leg bones on a regular basis BUT in all my reading and going thru all the bird recipes I have yet to see a recipe that includes chicken or meat in the ingredients. Do any of you feed chicken ?

Thanks

None of my birds really care for meat (they are all on the smaller side though), and I don't know about the newest member (I know he's tried it, but he doesn't seem particularly interested-doubt he could eat a chicken bone cause of his beak though). As long as the meat is thoroughly cooked, it's fine to feed.

Why not buy The Healthy Bird Cookbook by Robin Deutsch, has some great recipes in there, even meat recipes!

mine love chicken and turkey.... my cockatoo loves chicken bones, but the macaws don't seem to care for them. When they do eat them, they crack them open and eat the marrow.

We eat chicken at least 2 times a week. Why? because I'm a good mother and wife and want my family to eat more white meat and because it is better for their health. NO! The fids love it - thats why!!! They love chicken. It is great to help them with their protein intake and they love, love, love, did I say Love, the bone marrow in the bones.
Just make sure it is cooked completely done for the fids.

lol, i love the oddball look on people's faces when i say my birds eat chicken...the wide-eyed stare that says "WEIRDO". im sure if they knew where the meat came from, they might think twice, but all they know is YUMMY.

Chicken Wings

My Greys eat chicken every now and then. They especially LOVE wings! I let them eat as much as they want but I take the bones away from them after they eat off the meat. I've heard horror stories about crop damage from pieces of bone that the bird may swallow.

They all look forward to the holidays when they get their dinner. A little turkey, some filling, and veggies! The only thing they hate about it is having to wait for it to cool off! Once I give it to them, all I see are tails in the air!

Here are some pics of my guys chowing down on wings.
