IN MY BOOK THE HEALTHY BIRD COOK BOOK, PAGE 37 WITH A PICTURE OF A PAPAYA IT SAYS UNDERNEATH IT,,, "Papaya is a particularly good fruit for birds, aiding in digestion and helping the stomach and pancreas. Just make sure to remove the seeds."

Just make sure it is organic papaya so that no pesticides nor insecticides have invaded the skin or been absorbed into the fruit. I grow the papayas that are used in Tropical Fruitty BIRDIEBREAD muffins- and BTW, the seeds are fine to give to the fids plus they like them!

papaya

Since I just got the new Quaker, I downloaded a list of acceptable fruits and veggies for parrots and other birds and papaya is on it. I had a small bag of dried papaya that I was giving my cockatiel and bunny rabbit and gave some to Kiwi (Quaker) and he loves it. I gave him some peas one day in my hand and he tasted one, and promptly flung it at me
