I have society finches, and I give them the same foods I give my larger parrots. Just more egg (mashed after boiling with the shell still on it).
I mix: Cooked 13 bean soup (without the soup mix) Boulger Oatmeal Cut up Broccli Carrots (I grate some and cut some into chunks) corn green/red/orange bell peppers (with the seeds!) zuchinni (I grate some and cut some into chunks) pea pods green beans brown rice fresh greens shredded apple chunks (I leave the skin on for the Amazon to have to *work* it) tofu cut up (the extra firm ones) and soy beans in the pod. I sometimes vary this depending on what is available at the grocery store. I mix it up daily in a BIG bowl. I leave it like that for the Amazon, I dice it up a bit smaller for the cockatiels, and I pummell it inside a plastic bag with a meat hammer (after dicing up) for the finches. They all pick through it and eat what they want.
