In nature, tiels are primarily seed eaters... but some veggies really ARe good for them!

Try sprouted seeds!

I found that mine love dried vegies much better then fresh, though they now eat both.
If you go to a healthfood store they usually sell these freeze dried vegies called "Just Vegies" my guys love these.I buy the mixed veges with corn, peas and carrots in it.
You can bust up the dried pieces a bit if they dont like them whole.I started mine by putting a few crumbled pieces on my chest and since they love to peck about they would start picking at those peices before you know it they are eating them.
Also my guys LOVE brown rice, they sell it in the frozen section with the veges so you can just take out a little bit, defrost it and warm it up with some finely chopped vegies mixed in so they will accidentally eat the vegies on occasion when picking at the brown rice.Anyway hope this helps.

Yes they naturally eat that... I have a cockatiel taht is almost 19 and has been eating a seed diet for its entire life. I've found that cockatiels arent real crazy about fruits, but can take a liking to certain veggies like peppers, romaine lettuce, broccli... anything that is served in fun shapes he'll investigate. Mostly grains though! Most you can do is offer it... see what happens!
