it has come to my attention that some people have been feeding their birds or including in their recipes foods such as sugar and honey. it is important that these foods contain excessive amounts of energy that birds are unable to burn, this intern causes muscle wastage first in the wings disallowing flight and then in the legs disallowing perching and walking finally the most important muscle the heart. it is obvious that this will eventually cause an early death through heart attack or predation made easied by disallowed flight.

this will even effect insectivores such as lorikeets.
