We Currently Own 8 horses, 2 of which are fillies from last year that still need to be sold.

We have 5 Shagyas and 1 Polish Arab mare. The arab mare is mine, she is 27yrs old and when we go out for a trail ride she leaves all other horses in the dust(and gets pissed after 10 min if we still haven't gallopped....).
Our Shagyas consist of our Stallion Murad who we brought with us from Germany, he has won both Licensing and Performance test there as well: and our 4 mares Philomena, Dahri, RAA's Pasheera and RAA's Pasari, all 4 of them have also been imported from Germany, although Pasaris has been born here but she was conceived in Germany(thats how you bring over 4 mares for the price of 3).

Our current 2 fillies(RAA's Marah, RAA's Duhma) for sale are out of Murad and Pasheera and Dahri.

Yes, yes, yes I am most definately a horse lover since I can remember. Appaloosa's are my first love but now I own a paint colt just weaned off his mama. He is a cutie, one blue eye and the other brown. I'm waiting to receive his reg papers and what the choice of name is. We just call him mr blue. He's stabled at my sister-in-law's until I can find a place here in tucson to board him. I've owned 3 appy's 2 geldings and a mare, she being an arab/appy cross beautiful leopard but nasty disposition. I miss riding every day, now I only get to ride when I visit my sister-in-law's once a year.

I love horses too! Have ever since I can remember. I've never been able to own one, due to location and finances. But I have been very lucky in that I have met people who let me ride their horses. I rode with one woman for 10 years. Now I'm at another barn and am riding a Paint.
Asta, if you want to take riding lessons, go for it! I'm only a year younger than you, and I can say that riding horses is one of the great pleasures of my life. Check out the stable you are considering, and if possible just take a couple of lessons rather than sign a contract at first, to make sure you "click" with your instructor. I had a great one!

Horses? Duh!! Sorry, they are my first love. Have been riding for nearly 30 years. I spent a lot of years showing Morgans, Saddlebreds, and Hackney ponies but since my aunt/best friend moved to Honduras it just wasn't the same. So now I am down to my old morgan mare (Dazzling Pebbles, hunter on the flat) and crazy 3 year old Quater Horse mare (Boon's Lil Cherrybomb) who I will be starting this spring. They are boarded out at my parent's place and my Dad is adamant that I put Cherry to work before he goes crazy. She has to be the most inquisitive and mischievous little twit (I love her to death), that I have ever been around. I have had lots of babies but she takes the cake as far as the stuff and trouble she will get into. Its a pain, but it should make her a really good horse down the road. Those are the kind that usually make the "bomb proof" kind later in life because they have already been there and done that.

It must be a disease, though... This owning and loving birds and horses. For me it goes beyond that to Jack Russell Terriers and salt water fish tanks as well.
