3 Horses Murdered

This is really sad and wrong. The owner of three horses awoke to find all three of their pleasure horses killed. They had their throats slitted by an unknown person. No body knows why, but someone just lost 3 very special animals. They have no idea who, but I hear about it this morning.

Everyone at the barn is a little worried, because it happned roughly an hour to two hourse away from us. The police aren't sure if it was someone that was doing it through spite or a person doing this for fun. I love horses, and it breaks my heart and scared me that someone would do this... You have to be a real sicko to kill an animal for no reason

I hate hearing stories like this. I don't think I will ever comprehend why their are people in the world like this.

It breaks my heart when people feel the need to hurt innocent creatures, and it simply enrages me when they go so far as to kill the poor things. What exactly do they feel it achieves...? I ride alot & have lived with horses on & off since i was a child, and they are my favourite animal. I cannot bear to think of someone hurting them.

I'd do the same right back to them if i ever caught them. The same as I will crack a whip on anyone's thighs if I ever caught them whipping their horse on the same yard as me. (i was so renowned for this on my last yard that I effectively removed 2 people who used to badly whip their horse if they got something wrong. Once they feel it themselves they quickly change tactics.)

I dearly hope they find out who did this & that the judges that deal with them have no mercy to them at all. I'd invest in some security cameras with everybody on your yard just incase the unimaginable happens raddaughter.

My heart goes out to that poor owner who has just lost her 3 horses, may they rest in peace.

I hope they find them too! If I could have my way, you probably wouldn't realize they were people. What did they acheive? Nothing, but broke a peron's heart. I couldn't imagine how sad I would be. I would be absoutly insane if someone killed one of my animals. It is like killing your child! I truelyhope they find the people who did this; I have the feeling it was some teenagers trying to find something to brag about or seeking revenge on the owner... Stupid kids...

Several months ago in our news there was a story about a farmer who came home one day to find someone had shot and killed his preg. mare. Shot her right between the eyes. Last I heard, they never did have any real leads on who or why. Sad world we live in.

I have horses myself and I can really relate to that story. My husband and I had 11 acres of lease pasture that we were keeping our horses and cows on. We only had 3 cows so its not like we had an entire herd. Anyway, were leasing for 10 years or so and somebody came in and wanted our lease land. He was evil and come to find out he poisoned and killed one of my cows that I had since it was born. How I know this is spca and animal rescue groups in all surrounding counties recieved 5 calls from this guy. He told them I was starving my animals and one died. That's kind of funny since I was out there twice a day feeding them with sweet feed and hay. He had it in for me real bad and he was going to go to all measures to get my lease pasture. This is a story that I'll never forget and never forgive. I went to the owners and they couldn't do anything so I got a county judge to clear me of any wrong doing to my animals. Plus my vet laughed when he heard about this because he knows how well I take care of my animals. I give them my own shots when needed and can cure a colic on my own if I had to. I just don't do stitches. I know just enough to avoid spending foolish money at the vet. My vet says he is proud of me for doing some of his work.
Well, nothing happened to this guy except after 4 years he is now out of that lease pasture. My horses are at my house and instead of pasture roaming. I spend 150.00 a week to feed and hay them under my supervision. I sold the other 2 cows to a rancher I know. This is my story so all of you that lease pastures and barns I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. There will always be someone that is jealous of what you have.

I've included 3 photos to show you that my horses are well taken care of.
Plus we just bought 10.5 acres for them so we can camp out in the RV and watch them on our own land.

Sandy
