Some people! GRR!

I took Sunny out for a ride this afternoon (which was chilly but AWESOME), and I sorely miscalculated my available daylight! The last 3.5 miles were in the darkness, which Sunny didn't mind at all.
Then as we're about a mile out, 3 idiots come tearing down the road...it's gravel, mind you, and the speed limit is 25....and blew past Sunny and me! I was soooooo pi***d! Our gravel road isn't all that wide to begin with, but what the **** did these morons think they would do if my horse freaked and jumped in front of them? I was confident he wouldn't, but obviously they can't think farther ahead than the next beer! GRRRRRRRRR!
Most people are very courteous of horseback riders, and will slow down and keep over to the side....not these idiots! I wonder if they're aware that by law, horses/horseback riders have the right of way.
One of the perpetrators hangs out at a neighboring house and every single day will blast up and down the road in his loud @** jalopy truck. I worry about my barn cats who like to hunt in the field across the road. IF I even hear that moron coming back down the road like that, I'm gettin' the .270 out and I'm a'huntin' truck!
Sorry, I just needed to rant! I'm still very, very, very angry!

At my parents house people never do the speed limit on that road and it always worried me if I was riding and one flew by!

i know how ya feel, i was out ridin with my friend before and a car flew past us beeping their horn! my horse couldve cared less but hers was just started not long before that on trail riding and could have easily wigged out..luckily he was calm about it and just stopped and gave a wtf was that?! look..lol

There are people that race down the street that connects to our street. Because I live on a hill, they go soo fast and the noise is horrible. It wakes me up every time. Luckily they havn't been racing so hopefully the cops have got 'em!!!

Not many people are aware of that law but its true , but do you think they would care even if they new , soooooooooooooooo glad you were OK that could have been very different.
I had the same thing happen when i was long raining our pony, they drove at us and there was no way we could move out of the way only a hedge which i pushed her and me into or we would have been gone , we did a lot of damage to the hedge but we were OK thank god .

I'm glad you're safe! Some people (actually too many) are just plain stupid when it comes to the consideration of others.
On the news this morning they had a story of a bunch of people racing their BMWs like 80 MPH down a residential road and one woman walking her dog was hit when he lost control of his car.
UGH. Makes me so angry to be on the same planet as some of these people.

I think the name of my road Sinclair Marina Road has changed to INDY 500 C HOW FAST U CAN DRIVE! It has a couple of hills and some VERY SHARP S curves in it! Kashka was ran over a couple of weeks ago by one of these drivers! Thankfully she's ok.

Totally ridiculous! That really burns my ass when they do that.. Thank goodness your Sunny didn't freak, because Handsome would have. He's just a high strung breed. I'm glad you and Sunny are ok. Perhaps you need to have a little "chat" with them?
