Very nice babypiggy and Jim... where did you get the vet wrap at? I found it all over the 'net for a dollar and change per roll... but then it's about $8-$10 for shipping... and I don't want to pay that. Where's a local store I could buy it at?

I found some at Atwoods Farm/Ranch supply... any Farm/Ranch supply store should have it. Its usually in by the horse tack.

Have you made your shower perch yet? Let us know how it turned out! Here's the shower perch I made. I just used some rubber tubing and suction cups. I made 2 one for the shower and another for the car. She needed somewhere to sit when i took her for rides. I even put some beads in it to make it look pretty

Beware suction cups... if it loses vaccum during your showertime you will have a wet frightened bird flopping abound the bottom of your tub.... and no gloves around to avoid scratches!!!!

a good solution i have seen is a pvc system that hangs OVER the shower rail to support your fid. if you have plastic curtains instead of a glass door or some other solid curtian system you could make a similar system that hangs over the side of the tub instead with a riser system to bring your fid up to waist hight.

Here is what we made, we used 1/2" PVC, and Joey has no problem holding on to it. We dremeled the heck out of the cross bar so it's "grippy" for him

These look exactly like the ones I just bought online. However, they do not work for a caique even though I got the medium size. They don't stick well even to glass and not at all on my tile in the shower. Sorry, I was disappointed. The only birds these would hold would be a parakeet or cockatiel.

How much did this cost you to make? That's exactly what I need! Was it difficult? How did you cut the pvc?

I just PM'd you the details, but it wasn't hard to make at all, and I think only cost about $10 in materials, probably had the whole thing made in less than an hour! Super easy, and works perfectly!
