I used this idea to make another bird tree today only I set the branch in a small container of quick set concrete (I used a one gallon plastic ice cream pail). I set that in the larger planter pot and filled in around it with kitty litter. I wrapped a bit of vet wrap around the branch where it went through the hole in the drip pan to tighten the fit and its really steady. There's not enough concrete to make the pot too heavy but I put it on one of those planter dollys so we could wheel it around easier. Works great! I'll get a picture of it tomorrow and post it here
