PVC - Acetone, Lacquer Thinner, or Else?

Does anybody know the easiest and safest way to get the ink off of PVC pipe? The guy in Home Depot gave me a can of 'PVC Cleaner'. I have read that Acetone and Lacquer Thinner is also used. Should I use one of these three or is there something else I should consider? How can I get the residue off of the PVC afterwards so there is no harm to my parrot? Thank you !

Acetone and Lacquer Thinner work real well. Wen done I wash everything with Simple Green and let dry before putting it to use.
