Cage cover "hat"to keep away from beek!

I am so excited to show you what my hubby made for Sunshine's cage! That big beek loves to chew through covers so with the help of a cage cover designer: Home and hubbys creative abilities, here is the new cage frame and cage cover. Of course she already got ahold of it with that beek, but it seems like it will at least slow her down! LOL And it has her name and a Cockatoo on the front panel. Woo Hoo she is styling now!!!

Do you ind me askinghow much it was?

My sheets have HUGE peekaboo holes created by my U2! Pretty funny in the morning's before I uncover her, all I see through this hole is an eyeball watching me!

Well hubby used the replacement handles for like shovels from home depot, so they were like 8-10 bucks a piece, and there is 3 of them, front part of arch center and back part. He bought some log bolts and used the big plastic toy balls since the pieces of wood left over were too small for the cage slats and 2 sizes of washers. This was Judy's idea when I went to order it, she also noted that if we put some small pieces going from one pole to the next to make a complete frame it will help with the sag and the beek getting to it, looks like we will need to add that quick! But I think she will get it anyway, she is obsessed with crewing the material!
The cover itself was like $70.00 bucks, light weight denim nice material and DARK! We had to go buy a cloth tarp from Home Depot till the cover was finished due to the frame, but those are off white and NOT dark! You can see it to the left of the cage along with moving blanket (blue) had to be put on top cause it wasn't dark enough! Boy they got us trained! I am hoping that it will at least slow her down, cage covers don't last very long with this bird! And with such a big cage they are not cheep! And a King Size sheet won't cover it very well either so, this has been a long awaited improvement!
