Smile Safe Branches

Can anyone tell me what trees are safe for birds?

I want to make my sun counres some branches for there cage(stores by me are really expensive for stuff like that and my birds like chewing them) but I'm not sure what type of trees are safe for them.

Here's another! This one even has a guide on how to make branches into perches!

Bird; Birds: Safe, Toxic Trees, Woods. Safe Tree Wood. Poisonous. Parrots. Parrot cages.

Monica, that is an amazing link! It is JUST what I needed. I hadn't seen hemlock listed anywhere. I even got an eastern hemlock branch all ready. Thankfully I checked this page before continuing. I now see hemlock is not safe. :( Boo! Because I cleaned it and everything. Now I have to start over. Better to start over then to lose a bird!
